David's mother passed away over night

David's mother passed away last night. She was a sweet woman who had a terrible series of strokes that left her increasingly – well – not there. During the last months, she couldn't recognize her children and then even recognize anyone or anything. She'd been in the nursing home for a number of years. At the end she'd stopped eating. They just tried to keep her comfortable.

This was all caused by her smoking. Guys, if you smoke, please quit. This is not a good way to die. I know it's hard to quit but you can do it.

My deepest condolences on the loss of David's Mom.

I agree smoking stinks and sucks the life right out of everyone! We have a friend who smokes and one time he happened to be over and those commercials came on with the woman who had a stroke and now her son has to sponge bathe her and the other woman who has to wear a trach tube just to breathe and talk. He said, "that's bull sh*^, smoking doesn't cause problems like that". I would love to smack some sense into everyone who smokes, including my own daughter!!!!
