Cupcake LOATHES walking...

...but I still walk her. :)  Anyone else's bulldog love to play/hate to exercise?

Boycotting a walk.

If you play dead, you don't have to walk.

I grab the leash and harness, and she does this.  Not gonna work, Cups!

However, she has no problem playing.  Sigh...

She is just adora-bull! And

She is just adora-bull! And in answer to your question, Sissy absolutely loathes all forms of exercise. In fact, she is so lazy that she has developed a technique for scooting across the room on her butt, dragging a hind leg behind her so she doesn't have to completely get up. But when she wants to play, she's full of energy!

Try a Harness - it sometimes helps w/ walks

Just an idea :)  some also say, put a bit of peanut butter at the end of a stick and hold it in front of her -  however Gizmo would see stick and be like PLAY TIME, MY STICK ! (dang grandson had thrown her a stick one time!)

:)

We had this issue

with Ozzy--I remember the day we made it all the way to the end of the street (less than 1/10 a mile) But then at about 6 months it seems everything just clicked.  But when he is done--he is done.  He will find some grass and just roll over and I would either have to drag him home or have someone come and get us.  Just keep working on it.

Good Luck--Lyn

Stella has ALWAYS hated it!

Even as a puppy.

My theory is that walking at the end of leash is something "dogs" do, and Stella simply has never considered herself a dog.  Like Cupcake, I'd have to draaaaag her out for about three or four blocks.  Then she would prance home because she knew she was going home.  As soon as she was in the house, she would dash over to her toy pile and want to rumble.  After a while, I figured what the heck.  Indoor rumbling is still exercise!  That said, she was still made to go on a walk every day.  Now, at 12 years old, her walk involves going tinkle and coming back in  :)
