Cooling Bed???
Submitted by swmrzmom on June 3, 2012 - 9:20pmAnyone know anything about cooling dog beds - good ones to get, do they work, etc. Now that it is getting warmer out I thought this might be something I should be looking into. We put him in his crate, which has his comfy bed in it when we leave the house. I have noticed last week after he took a nap and again today when we came home and let him out of his crate that he gets out and lays on the cool floor. It must be getting too warm for him in there. The house is not overly warm and in the room he is in he has a ceiling fan and we have another fan blowing towards him so he stays comfy. Any ideas how to keep these precious babies cool in their beds?

Both my dogs have cool beds...
I have the gel ones that use their own pressue and body heat to regulate the coolness. No putting in the fridge/freezer or adding water and they are puncture resistant. I just use a cotton pillowcase over them and they LOVE them. We are using them in the truck on our move to Texas this summer too.
I have the Hugs Gel Pet Mats, I got them off Amazon.
