Confession :(

I feel very guilty about buying Bruce from a puppy store....In my area at the time there were no litters and I pretty much bought him last min...When i went to the puppy store in Temecula the owner was very nice and everything was super clean!!! He made me feel comfortable and showed me vet docs that proved both the parents had hip x rays and were very healthy...I was still unsure because i wanted to see pics of the parents and wanted to talk to the breeder and hear about Bruces' first few weeks..He was chubby, happy, clean, and i just fell in love!! The puppy store owner assured me the breeder would contact me in a few day and email me pics..Bruce is 16 weeks old and i bought him at 8 weeks...I have called a ton of times and I have YET to hear from the breeder...I recieved his papers and it had the breeders name and that was it no number or nadda...Now I hear NIGHTMARE stories about unhealthy puppy mill pups...Thank god my pup has checked out great and has a good tail and exct...I wouldn't trade him for the world, but it would have been nice to have met or talked to his breeder and no more about his parents... I will be in search of a female after I get Bruce trained and everything is going smooth with him..His poop is great and thats only 3 days after I switched it..Now i just need to figure out how to get him to not have accidents in the house!!

He is an Angel

Love his color. Sounds like you did buy from puppie mill or backyard breeder. They still make adorable loving dogs. I hope he doesnt have health issues whe he gets bigger. As got the breeder I know a few here will be glad to help you with info on what gro do

It's okay

You also have to remember that you can get an unhealthy puppy from a breeder too.  Rule number one is always do your research.  As far as the breeder not contacting you back, probably not unusual.  Our first breeder said she would stay in contact and didn't.  Our second breeder said the same thing and I worked with her son.  She didn't either and I would send update emails.  The frenchies breeder has been awesome.  She called for the first couple weeks to check in and wants to stay in contact.  We will send her emails with updated pictures and she responds.  I would hope all breeders would want to stay in contact with the people that have puppies from them, but that is just me.  This site has a breeder's list, so you could check that out for you next bully.   You could even try a bulldog rescue, if there is one around your area.  Have you tried google for the breeder's information?  Good luck!

;)

I think I will do a google search for the breeder..I dont want to call and bug her I just wish I could have seen the enviroment he came from..And i ery curious to his parents color and size..Bruce at 13 weeks weighed 20 lbs..im not sure if that's big or not..im just so curious to what his potential size will be..At about what age do they stop growing?? I have thought about a bulldog rescue but i have 5 kids 9 and under..4 of my own and im taking care of my nephew who is a high functioning autisic child..So I really need to be careful on what dog i bring home..This is why i went with this breed..They seemed perfect for my life style..I live in a town house and dont have a big yard just a patio and wanted a good size loveable indoor dog that is great with kiddos!! and can be lazy with me when I stressed from the kids..He really has helped me on days when th kids r insane and i just need a good laugh..

Email me the breeders name privately

and I will let you know if I know them.  I hope the next puppy you buy, you are will ing to wait and get the puppy from a reputable breeder and not a pet store.  It is very likely this puppy is from a puppy mill or imported. No reputable breeder will sell puppies at a pet store.

Is he AKC registered?  Who are his parents?  Sire and Dam listed on his papers.  I would be gald to help find the breeder.  I know many in CA.

Google

You would be surprised how much info you can find out about breeders and puppy mills from simply googling the breeders name or their kennel name.

Jacinda .. nothing comes up

when I tried.  I'm going to check with a friend from that area who had bulldogs and frenchies and did rescue and see what she knows.  Maybe we could at least find some photos of the sire and dam.  An extended pedigree might help as well.

Hmmm...it may be a good thing if nothing showed up

If you can't find anything, send me the names and I'll see if I can find out anything.
