Christmas card exchange

I know we are having one on The Porch but there are quite a few people here that don't belong to the Porch. I love getting Christmas cards with everyone's bullies on them. It does sound fun, but not sure how feasible this year with everything going on - Grand Kids all coming to 'Nana and Papaw's' house for Xmas this year - so the old Grinch (ME !) is stuck buying lights, and putting them up, and oh did I say how much I HATE getting on that high peak of the roof - wont do it!
I saw about a 'secret santa Bulldog' on one of the facebook pages, and I wanted to get Gizmo involved in that, but I was too late for that also -
Always late I guess :p (Just so I'm late for my own funeral ok? :p)

is one for Bdw since most of the people are on both forums. sad there a lot people here on bdw i would love to send cards to also. but I do love christmas cards

The Porch is The Bulldog Lovers' Porch
It's a Network 54 forum. If you Google "Bulldog Lovers' Porch" you will get the link. You will recognize lots of names -- many of the same people (and more importantly, BULLIES!) are on both boards.
As far as FB goes, I think Rick is referring to the English Bulldog News. I've never posted on it but that posts on FB frequently.

The community I've been following recently on FB has been "I love English Bulldogs" I mostly follow it for their 'Bulldog of the Day' photo's, ya see, I'm a sucker for Bully pictures :) I'm gonna search now on the English Bulldog News :) :) and see what I an find --

Remember When ....
we did the gift exchange. I always enjoyed that. I think the last card exchange cost be about $150 bucks...lol (my ex would have been appalled at the cost, never told him) I still have my gifts from the exchanges and will always cherish them. I made Xmas stockings a couple of years for my exchange partners (with the doggies pictures and embroidered names).
I do remember when:-) That was a lot of fun.
We have a really great family here again. Hows about we shoot for a gift exchange next year. A card exchange this year can still be pulled off I think, if anyone wants to do it.

how does the exchange
how does the exchange work?
Will it be a contact list of everyone that signs up and everyone send greeting to everyone? Or is it a 1:1 exchange?
If it's a everyone : everyone, how many are we talking about aprox? 20ppl, 100ppl etc..
(trying to estimate cost of stamp/card etc.. to determine if we are in.)
How the exchange works
People that want to participate in the exchange will email me the info. I requested by Friday
12/9/2011 at 6:00PM. I will set up an Excel spreadsheet and have everybody's info on it that
wanted to participate in the Christmas card exchange and send it out to them on Sat. 12/10/11.
I cannot say how many people we are talking about until I have the final count on Friday night.
If people agree to participate they will send it to everybody else on the list. It wouldn't be right for
someone to pick and choose who they want to send their cards to. Some people have cards made
with their own dogs pics others buy boxes of Christmas cards with a bullie on it and then others send
out bullie e-cards. That being said, we all enjoy running to the mailbox to see what bullie cards came in
today's mail. People take pictures of the walls that they have displayed their cards on and it's fun to try and
see your card up there.
So far, I only have 8 names for the list.. very unusual..

agreed pick and choosing isn't fair/right. Sorry if came across wrong, question was more about if it was a secret santa kinda thing were everyone gets 1 person whom they are responsbile for sending to. But I like the idea of getting many cards not just 1. hopefully 8 wont turn into 100 by friday ;)
(and if it did we'll scale back by using email or something)
