Chester update....

He made it though the night and they found a surgical center that was open on Sunday, so we picked him up this morning and transported him, tube and all.  He slept the whole way from the sedation.  The surgeon was fantastic, he looked at him and said he didn't have a polyp or mass, he has an extreme elongated palete that had swelled for some reason and he couldn't breathe because of it.  He's never been a noisy breather or had problems with breathing before, but he is doing surgery this afternoon to shorten the palete and take out tonsile, saccules, etc. and he said he will be a new dog after that.  Such good news after the ER doc telling us he wouldn't make it through the night.  Although he did the right thing by intubating him to keep him breathing.  I will up date youall after the surgery and after I have my nervous breakdown.  Prayers really do help.

I'm so happy

Prayers certainly do work! I'm so glad that it is a fixable problem and your were led to the right doctor. I hope Chester has a speedy recovery.
