Pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but do you find that Trick-or-Treaters (and their parents) go absolutely CRAZY when
they see your bully/ bullies? When we got Meaty, we had NO IDEA how much people love bullies! Last Halloween, we heard
people giggle and pet Meaty with such DELIGHT---it made us so happy! Also, a couple people said "oh yea, that's the house
with the cute BULLDOG!"
....
...
...
So, tonight ,people that remember and love Meaty are going to go CRAZY over seeing Sophie, too!!! Also, curious if some of you
crate your babies or can't have them around T or T's for other reasons.
....
......
. Meaty and Sophie will be harnessed (DUH! LOL!....they will
be soooo excited!)....Also, when we answer the door, we'll keep them far enough away at first, so that if anyone is scared, we won't
let them NEAR them (again..DUH!) So far, there was only ONE cute child who cried when she saw Meaty...otherwise, they pet him,
take piks, oooogle and then if their parents are standing away from them, they'll yell " COME SEE THE CUTE BULLDOG, MOMMY AND DADDY!"

And SOPHIE Bubbles *Rapscallion* (LOL!) ---born 4/3/11----our second bulllllyyyy!!!!
LOL, forgot to say, BEFORE having our bullies, we still LOVED
having all the cutie pie Trick or Treaters come to our house!!! :-)
My post sounded like it's ALL about "showing off" our doggies.......LOL! Yup, we ALWAYS loved Halloween! Meaty and Sophie
just make it WAY more fun!

we don't get trick or treaters...
so I don't have any experience with it, but it sounds like you're handling it perfectly!! :) Like I said earlier, I'd LOVE to stop at your house if we lived close! :)
Shannon and Winston :)
My swimming bully buddy!
OMG, it'd be SOO fun to meet you, Winston, and EVERYONE here....
I"m sure everybully has talked about this before.....how FUN would it be!!??? Oh, if only bullies could fly without ANY issues, we
could arrange some type of "convention" type thing where we could rent a big block of rooms at a hotel
all meet eachother, alllll the sweet bullies, etc!!!.... Talking to people who LOVE their bullies like we do is ALWAYS fun!
....
......
Hubby and I ALWAYS love talking to other bully owners we meet at PetSmart, parks, the vet, etc.....but it would be even
MORE fun when you already kind of "know" people from a message board!
....
.....
Might sound cray-cray (crazy) to some, but I used to be verrrrrrrry into scrapbooking----I "knew" many peeps from a scrapbook
message board (some of them, I still keep in touch with!) and a few years ago, several of us flew out to LA for a weekend
scrapbook retreat.....what a BLAST we had! My sister joked with me that since I ONLY knew these people from the
"interneTS", when I arrived at the "BIG EVENT", it would REALLY be bunch of weird
old men, smoking cigars, sitting in the "SCRAPBOOK ROOM", saying "oh hellloooo....you made it!" LOL!!!!!!!!!

well...
We are actually going to take Jack trick-or-treating since we have two young girls. He is young enough that he shouldn't scare anyone and this will be a great experience for him. This is such a dog friendly neighborhood that we'd hate to leave him out of the fun. Plus we have a double stroller if he gets tired. They are calling for showers so it might be a short trip anyway.
Nakina
aaww......that's so cool that you have the stroller.....might
come in handy with allll the excitement! :-) Have fun!
We have lotsa dogggies in our neighborhood, too....come to think of it, it would be so FUN if people brought their dogs over
for a treat!

we hang out - outside
Instead of up and down up and down up and down answering the door - and keeping Gimzo back etc - We just set up a few lawn chairs around the neighbors firepit and flag down the kids
"Don't go over there, they are mean people (As we point to our own house LOL) come over here :) :)"
We'll probably have 10 people (and I Bulldog !) standing around the neighbors driveway passing out the candy :)
Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .
we sit outside...gracie would have a heart attack with the
constant ringing of the bell~~~
have fun

this will be Hazel's first
this will be Hazel's first Halloween in the "outside" world so we'll find out how everyone responds! Meaty and Sophie look awesome in your pics btw!!
No Trick or Treaters for the past 10 years
It will be interesting to see if I get any this year in my new place. I think if I had Kohl at the door the kids would be scared...he is soooo friendly and gets sooooo excited. So he will be crated and I'll let Ester do the greeting.
I had to buy more candy since I ate the original bag I bought. Now I bet I get no kids and I'll have candy left. Oh what a bummer, lol!
Poor MacKenzie is having to spend the night at the vets.
This was SIssy's first
This was SIssy's first Halloween with us and we took her trick or treating with our daughter. She really did great considering she normally isn't a huge fan of exercise. She got the usual, "Oh look at the cute dog!" and then there was one house where the people who lived there used to have a Bulldog and they were really happy to see her. Sissy being the attention hog that she is, was more than willing to plop down on her butt in front of them and be the star of the show:) I have a German Shepherd as well and he doesn't get crated during trick or treat but we definitely get some funny reactions from the kids when Thor sticks his big head out the door to greet them.
