Bunnies bunnies bunnies and more bunnies !

Poor Gizmo, she sees the bunnies outside and she wants to play with them, there must be a few nests in the immediate area, as I counted 5 in our little front yard (40 foot by 20 foot) she sees one and goes Balistic ! but to see 5 at once...she didnt know which way to turn ! if I knew for sure she wouldnt head rush into the rose bushes I might let her out to see what she would do (they are fast, and they have places to hide, so I'm not worried about get catching one)

We had two bunnies :(

I had just let the boys out on Tuesday and hearding screaming.  I ran out to find each one was chasing two bunnies.  I picked both up and tried not to drop them.  Put them on the deck and got them inside.  Only to find that one bunny got away and the other was still laying there. :(  I was so sad and brought him across the street hoping he was just faking.  Then that same night I told my husband to check before letting the boys out.  He didn't and I heard the screaming again.  The same bunny was in our yard again and trapped in our fence.  We got him free and tried to block off our yard.  I know they are just doing what they do, but it was still sad.  Hopfully the baby bunnies stay away from our yard for awhile.

backyard "friends"

Now that the weather is nice all of Tucker's animal "friends" are back out. The yard attached to ours by fence on one side has one big dog and the yard kitty corner to ours has a Chiuauha, a HUGE white bunny and a German Shepard. Tucker can see them all clearly and they can see him clearly if they happen to be out at the same time. If the bunny is out he stands in that corner of the fence and barks and barks and barks. Luckily he's gotten over his dislike for the little dog and he and the Shepard share the odd "hello" through the fence.

Lately it has been the neighbourhood cats which Tucker feels he needs to protect us from. He'll be sound asleep(we all will be) and he jumps off the bed, goes to the sliding glass door then runs to the front and jumps to look out the front window and then goes to the back again. Last night he was up 4 times! Sometimes I think it's nothing and he's crazy but the odd time my husband will get the flashlight out and yep, there's a cat in the yard. Last wk there was raccoons mating 2 nights in a row for like over an hour each night. It drove us all nuts. Tucker was on patrol both nights!

The funny thing is that if we go out and come back and there is a cat on our front steps I can walk him up the driveway with NO problem and that's even if he sees it. If a cat is in the yard then that's another story. I swear an alarm goes off in his head saying "intruder, intruder".

And they say bullys don't make good guard dogs, hmmm ;)
