Boom Go the Fireworks!!!

Astoria had an amazing Independence day fireworks show that took place last night (albeit they can't compete with the Macy's NYC fireworks that will take place next Wednesday) and it happens to be directly across from our building. For the past week I had been trying to figure out what to do about Rugs as we usually picnic out on the great lawn and watch from there but I didn't like the idea of him scared of the noise and by himself. Well, mother nature forced us to change plans as it rained the bulk of the day but miraculously cleared up by 8pm. Our friends who live on the park side of the building were nice enough to offer their terrace for the show which meant we could bring Rugby! Well, HE LOVED THEM! He wondered what the sounds were at first so we lifted him up onto a table and he just sat there watching... it was too cute! I am so relieved that he wasn't scared :-)

sooo many doggies don't......so sad!  We're already thinking about next week's noise and scaring the babies...

BUT, maybe we need to do what y'all did and maybe they'd actually enjoy them!  Such a CUTE pik of Rugby...
