I'm *SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO* Glad the holidays are over
I'm tired of the Prep,
of having Gizmo go nuts cause things are different in the house (We took the tree down yesterday so she can go nuts in the house again!)
Of the fake smiles all 'to be good for Christmas' to have the clock strike 12:01am on Dec 26 and for all the mean people to show themselves again for what they really are.
Of all the stores having their Pre-friday-before-Monday-Before-Halloween-Before-Thanksgiving-Before-Black-Friday-2013 Sales.
I will say the highlight to this holiday season was all of the BullyCards we got :) :) I'll pass on everything that has to do w/ the holidays if I can keep getting the cards in the mail :)
Sorry if I drug anyone down...didnt mean to... just needed to Vent :)

psst Gizmo...
Read my reply to your Merry Christmas post down a little further... :) It's a funny story! :)
And yes, while I do enjoy the holiday season I'm usually a bit relieved when it's over and I can put things away for another year.

Very Glad!
The best thing about Christmas this year was the fact that it was on the weekend, but I still took 1 1/2 days off from the office!
Alot of hype, alot of let down when it is done. My family (all three of them) convinced me to open presents on Christmas Eve. So Christmas Day was very much a let down. We did go to our adopted families house for dinner (Pastors family and one other, we always spend holidays together) But it was really a let down.
I did enjoy watching the pups play with their toys, but they are getting so worked up with them we have to put them away now and then to avoid fights. I really enjoyed yesterday doing alot of NOTHING. Spent nearly the entire day in PJ's till I had to go to Walgreens to get an ace bandage for my daughter who messed up her wrist.
Im looking forward to next weekend, just because of more time off, but the kids with be at their grandparents house, Paul will be working (he has been working 80 hour weeks for 2 months now) so I will be home alone and I HATE that! But I will work on cleaning out the kitchen of all wheat and sugar and giving to the shelter...after all it is January and that means a diet for 2 weeks at least, right????? Its as much tradition as Christmas!

I like that idea Deborah -

As some one who doesn't celebrate Xmas...
I am really glad to not have to hear cheery Xmas music EVERYWHERE; at all the stores, on every commercial, on every TV show, at the office. If it were only for a week, it would be OK, but it's for a full month. Sorry I'm sounding 'bah humbug,' and I'm happy for the folks who love this holiday, but I'm always glad it's over.
Christmas is my favorite. But NOT the commercialism that..
Abounds in teh world today. I love to celebrate the real reason we even have Christmas. The birth of the Saviour.
We give gifts, but not lavish, over priced and excessive ones. We enjoy our family for a few days, eat a lot, laugh a lot, and love our time together. Then we all go home and get back to reality!

With you there
I am too glad it is over. It was a little bit better this year as we all went skiing in Jasper so it was fun and got some fresh air. The hype is way to much to take. It's overwhelming......
Emma enjoyed it. I will post a picture of her playing with my son's basketball game. She had the most fun!
Someday, I'm going to travel outside the USA/Canada for Xmas
It might be more interesting viewed as an exotic foreign holiday (like Japan or Kenya) or I might go somewhere where they don't really celebrate it, like China or Thailand. I was in Jamaca one year. On Xmas Eve, people go to the clubs and drink and dance. On Christmas Day, they are at home with familly and I staid at the beach.
how could I forget the overplayed songs? Xmas in Guam . .
Wow how could I have missed the overplayed worn out songs. I flip radio stations so much in December - Oh this is the first I've heard (Blank) no problem. This is the 30th time (Blank) has been played - CLICK next station please!
One of my memorable holiday seasons was when I was in the Navy in Guam - Christmas Eve at 'Barneys Beach Bar', Swimming in the Lagoon, It was 'Just another day' but with a few christmas lights up around the bar. Honestly I liked it (and it was 90 degrees and the water temp was in the 80's !) I hate cold weather !
