luggage ALL the time. I can't trust them with my precious bully cargo. Especially after reading how Jon Travolta's dogs were accidently killed because the luggage handlers somehow let them get out of the crate on the tarmac. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?? Negligence....not gonna happen on my watch :)

they offered the guy a $200 voucher!?!?!?! If they can't go in cargo (and I would want my boys in cargo, they ARE NOT cargo) then we should be able to buy a ticket for them.
1) it is for the best, to protect our bullies (and other pets) as the cargo holds are not fit for Man to travel in, nor beast :( If it were fit to travel in for us humans, you *KNOW* they would be packing us down there to fly!
2) I would agree about sitting them next to us, however - - tight confined area, not alot of fresh air, as an asmatic who has developed an allergy to cats, I would never survive a flight, with a Cat sitting near me (I had to give up my 15 year old Kitty when I could no longer breathe in the same house as she was in :( :( :(

We used Pet Airways to fly Suri from Denver to Baltimore. Bonnie picked her up in Spokane, WA and drove her to Denver, Co to put her on the flight. I would highly recommend using this airway if you have to fly a bulldog. Taking puppies in cabin has worked well for me, but 11/12 weeks is about as old as you can get away with, unless you have a tiny puppy. After that they don't fit in the carrier, even at 10 weeks they may to be squished.

I will never understand how people can justify sticking animals in the cargo hold of an airplane regardless of breed. They're not luggage, they're living breathing creatures.. And quite frankly, I'd rather sit next to a slobbering dog on a 2-3 hour flight than some people's kids.
I agree!
Especially if we're willing to pay the cost for the extra seat ticket! :)
Shannon and Winston :)
My swimming bully buddy!
