Our brindle Meatloaf passed in 2007 , and then Angus came home two months later. Actually Angus we saved from being put to sleep in 2007 due to health problems which an elderly lady just could not afford to pay his vet bills so we took him in and had surgery done on his eyes (cherry eye ) and also had a ruptured testacle which we had re moved. Our vet told us at the time that she didn't think he would live long in the condition he was in, but low and behold 8 yrs. later, which we enjoyed him being a part of our lives he was finally put to rest. He spent most of his first 14 months in a kennel, which I personally feel that no bully should ever be in a kennel, but when he came to us I told my wife that in our house he was to run free. Which he did and he loved his freedom just so full of life and such a happy boy and it made me feel so good inside to know that he would never be caged up again. We both agree that he lived a good and happy life ,but it is just so hard to accept the he is not here with us anymore, at times I i can still see him walking around the house or sitting out side by our bulkhead where he loved to sit and watch the fish jump in the canal in our back yard. They make every day worth living and give you a reason for coming home and tend to them as a daily routine, I still get up in the morning and start to fill his food and water bowl thinking he is still here , but he is not there and it hurts so much. I guess it's like they say time will heal all wounds, but I will never forget the love I feel for my buddies. Thanks all of you for your kind words prayers and wishes and it's always good to know that there is someone i can talk to that can understand this sort of issue. God Bless You All ! Can't seem to post any pics but I will keep trying !
I am so sorry
They stay with us forever. Some people just don't understand why we just can't let them go. You are in my Prayers.
