Hi guys! I used to hang out here when I had my wonder English Bulldog, Roxy. Unfortunately, I lost her in my divorce since she was technically my ex-husband's dog. I know there were a few people on here that had French Bulldogs, so I hope you don't mind me asking this question here. I wasn't really planning to get another dog right now (currently have 1 Pug), but was looking for the fun of it (you know how that goes). I came across one that sounds perfect for me. Is there anything in her medical history that would concern you? It says she won't have any long term problems from them, but I just want to make sure. Does the history of heart worms or the treatment shorten their lifespan?
Rosey was pulled from a Texas shelter. She was found as a stray. She was very thin, missing teeth, very dirty, has been bred, had a mass on her leg and needed all routine medical care and some surgeries. Rosey had heartworms (was treated), skin infection (all clear now), ear infection (all clear now), oozing puss in her mouth (had dental), was spayed, had a hernia repaired and mass removal on leg. She is a very petit little girl, but as cute as can be.
The good news is all of her issues are fixed and she will have no long term health problems!
Her favorite way to spend the day is to follow her foster mom from room to room or around the backyard. She is extremely fond of her foster mom and does a little happy dance for her every day when she comes home from work. Her idea of the perfect day would include lots of naps in bed, trips out to a sunny yard to potty, and lots of good food. She is laid back and does not really care much about playing with toys or the other dogs, although she does occasionally like to suck on a Nylabone.
The ideal home for Rosey would be with a calm, laid back person/couple who enjoys spending lots of time around their home and in their yard, and taking the occasional stroll on nice days. She likes dry, sunny weather and prefers not to venture outside in any kind of wet.
A word from Rosey's foster mom: 'My hope is that Rosey will find a person who is available to dote on her 24/7 for the rest of her days. She is so sweet and loving. She wants nothing more than to be held or cuddled or lay by your feet at the computer. She doesn't mind the other dogs in the house, but really just cares about what her person is doing.'

Sounds Wonderful
I have no experience with heartworm, but she sounds just adorabull and I bet she finds a home very quickly. But if your home sounds like what they are describing I would certainly not worry about her past issues. Health issues can always come up as a pet ages so you just have to be sure that you can afford them if they do come up.
Good Luck and let us know what you decide.
i hope she finds a loving
i hope she finds a loving home very soon...sounds like the poor thing has been through alot... :(
Sounds like a sweet girl who
Sounds like a sweet girl who deserves a very loving home to help make up for her rough start in life. I wouldn't worry about the past medical experiences personally because like you said, they've all been treated and frankly even when starting with the healthiest of dogs we never know what may pop up down the road.
I would not let that holc me back
I would give this girl a home. She needs a loving mommy and a good life.
