Bulldogs World

I've been married to my husband for almost 9 yrs. Ironically, we met online. I used to work nights as a full time Respiratory Therapist and went to school during the day, so I didn't have much time for dating.  When we got married we decided to try to have children right away since Steve is a bit older than myself. It took alot of years of infertility treatments and a few rounds of IVF and we now have our 6 yr old and our 2 yr old. My husband is retired from the Navy and now has a great job with the Dept of Defense so I get to be a stay-at-home mom to the skin kids and the fur kids.  We love traveling with Orlando being our favorite place to visit. Now that the kids are older, we are making plans for another trip to Disney.  Besides, bulldogs, my interests include scary movies, scary books, video games, and whatever weekly adventures the kids and I can get into. My husband's interests are more sports related. He is trying to turn me into a hockey fan. But  I must admit that I enjoy the fights a little bit more.

Jack is our first english bulldog and if the booger keeps eating my slippers, he might be the last. Just kidding. When my husband and I were dating, I had two cats....one is now 17 yrs old.  Doofus was born in my bedroom closet and he has been with me through the good and bad. We also ended up getting a great dane for my husband and an english mastiff for me. They were the best dogs and we had them for 6 1/2 and 7 yrs before having to put them down. I knew that I wanted our girls to grow up with a dog. I loved the temperament of the g.dane and mastiff but really didn't want to get a large breed when we had small kids in the house. My husband didn't want another dog because he still hasn't gotten over the loss of his Gracie. But when I said I was thinking about having another baby, it only took him 3 days before giving in to getting a dog. LOL So that is how we ended up with Jack. He is the compact version of a mastiff.  I conclude this novel with a picture of Jack and my husband, who has always been adamant that Jack is our dog, he won't have anything to do with him, won't feed him, won't play with him, won't clean up his messes, etc etc. Jack was so happy to see his daddy, that he flew from the floor onto his lap.
