Bulldogs World

We have been married for 29 years. We have 2 sons that left home about 5 years now. For most of that time my husband and boys dreamed of having a bull dog. I was very skeptical, they seemed to be so high maintenance and time consuming, something I was not willing to do. And as most of you moms out there know, all the work ends up falling on the mom/wife of the home. So I was firm on the issue. Well, exactly 6 years 1 month ago, on a Sunday afternoon my husband convinced me to go "look" at this bulldog pup. Off we went, it was a 2 hour drive and I met our Emma. It was love at first sight. I picked her up, she looked into my eyes and I into hers and I was hooked. She cuddled into my arms and I carried her to the car. The breeder and my husband just stood there thinking I was coming back with her. I wasn't.

Fast forward 6 years. She was for my husband but she really is mine. I work in Northern Alberta Canada as a Controller for a building company and Emma flys everywhere I do, I made it a condition in my contract. She has more air miles than my husband. LOL. My husband works in the oil patch and travels from one end of the province to the other but we are often together in the same town which is nice.

She is definately the diva of the family. The boys and my husband adore her. She has made me a better person, I love her calmness (most of the time), the way she is in no hurry to get anywhere (unless you throw the ball).

We are a bulldog family and have not regretted one minute or the many $$$ it takes to keep her healthy.
