hello beautiful ppl!
i know i'm writing late but got carried away posting in here...lol
ok so here's what i have as an update from my first meeting w/mathilda...
i think tildy is a beautiful baby girl who i would've loved to take home on the spot-
in my opinion and her foster mom's the meeting overall was a good one!there was however
a concern w/mathilda and her reaction to my niece-you see tildy is not used to being around children...
my niece is 4 and as i have mentioned a tornado,lol,mathilda was chasing,jumping(playfully ofcourse),and
even licking catherine's face when she sat down long enough!!!and barking to get catherine's attention...lol
i as well as her parents saw nothing worrisome...her foster mom and other cspca workets there that day
were observing us and b/c mathilda was barking b/c she was exvited some took it as not such a great sign...
i was emailed my tildy's foster mom today that an animal behavioralist will be observing the tape and will
give her findings...i'm so not discouraged by any of this in fact it makes me more determined to convince
them them that i'm right...
grrr...i seriously don't like
grrr...i seriously don't like my tablet at times...
anyway i will also say that i commend every step and precaution they take to ensure
a good fit w/those applying to foster or adopt as well as the necessary steps to keep children
safe!so w/that being said i'm looking very forward to monday and i'm even more anxious and excited
to see her again-her foster mom is worried i might b/come attached-i told her she should be more
concerned if i hadn't already b/come attached!lol, will keep you all posted i promise-thnq all for your
kind thoughts, words, prayers, messages and positive energy...xoxoxo....have a great weekend!!!
Fingers Crossed - was bringing the family a requirement?
I mean, are the other prospective parents all bringing young children to the meetings?
We're Pulling for you ! ! ! !
Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .
i myself don't have
i myself don't have children,but insisted my niece/nephew come b/c they
are constantly over and they were in my archie's life as well when i had him
for as long as i had him...and yes when adopting or fostering they want to meet
everyone who will always be a constant...thnq rick...i know you guys are pulling for
me and mathilda,(((hugs)))
From my stand point
The sound of Matilda's reaction to your niece sounds normal to me but something that will have to be dealt with. I didn't see it for myself, but that sounds similar to how Jack gets. We have taught him not jump up on people. He will kiss the kids' faces but only if invited now. Jack also feeds off of their energy so I imagine thats how Matilda was. I'm sure the rescue people are just covering the bases. I can't wait to hear about your next meeting!
