10 month old puppy all of a sudden wetting in my bed!
Submitted by marci in orlando on April 16, 2012 - 1:35pmMy 10 month old male puppy is all of a sudden wetting in my bed. He is completely housebroken and there are no medical issues. We recently moved into a new house and before we moved into this new house he wasn't big enough to jump on the bed. Now, in the evenings- after I have let him out for his last potty- and right before we go to bed- he has jumped on the bed and wetted- with my husband and I and sometimes my five year old in the bed. Basically right on top of us. Twice now this has happened. I have been reading other people who are experiencing this. I'm thinking it is dominance related because he is a 52 pound bully! HELP!!!

although my archie was house broken as well...i did get him about 13 months...
he at times had some issues where he would climb on top of the sofa(where my dad sat)
and wet the area...and he got aggressive when you tried to get him off...yes it was
dominance issues he had an ongoing like/not like affair w/my dad...
How did you handle it? I
How did you handle it? I just throw him off the bed tell him "no" and put him back outside for a few minutes. I am not allowing him on the bed now after this second incident.
My Maverick who is a little
My Maverick who is a little over a year and a half now will occasionally jump up on my bed and wet on my pillows!!!! He knows he is not supposed to be up on the bed at all and he speeds off and knows he's in trouble when he does it. I have been trying to figure this out for a few months now. He maybe does it once a month. I think he just thinks it's time to make papa mad!!!
No he's trying to get papa
out of the bed. He just wants to have it to himself or share it with you.
Dominance
Don't think it has anything to do with dominance. He is making it his own bed, marking. Pretty common with bulldogs. It's time he loses his bed priviledges. Back in the crate. Is he neutered?
Wetting the bed
My boy Doyle, who will be 9 soon, has done this his entire life.
If I leave him to his own he will squirt pee just where i sleep on the bed. I'm not sure what's going on there, whether he loves me or wants to mark a certain spot. But it's been a battle. I let him sleep with me, but restrict access to the bedroom during the day.
Our neighbor told us a horror story about their bully wetting -
and her quote was, I woke up to him peeing RIGHT ON MY HEAD !
I was like, WHAT!?!?!??! No way ! but... I guess its more common that I expected - but that would not go over well in this house... no no no ... not well at all... Gizmo would be barred from the 'big bed' if that became an issue !

Yes he's neutered- and he sleeps in the crate every night- for a good 8 hours with no issues. this is the 15 minutes or so after his last potty before I put him in his crate. yes- bed privileges are gone for now. i just hope he doesn't start doing it other places- like my couches!
Loulou try that
rigth after I got her. well off the bed and out of my room. she learn really fast to be in the bed room Mommy wasn't going to have that. she now sleep in a king side bed and we learn to sleep on the sides of the bed and we love No room at all.
