Wrinkle discolouration medical problem?

My 10 month old has some reddish orange discolouration on and under his wrinkle.  Now he has a black mask so you can't really see it but we see it on the cloth when we're cleaning his wrinkle.  I've seen lots of ways to remove or prevent this but my question is "Is it dangerous?".  Should I be worried and cleaning his face more then once a day and maybe see the vet?

would you call them 'tear stains' ?

If they are tear stains, filtered water helps ALOT to reduce/eliminate them -  also different foods react differently -  I think one person switched from Fish based due to tear stains with success - its all trial and error with food though :(

Yeast can be orangy in color...

the best thing I've found for that is Malaseb - you can find it oneline or at a vets office. I use the spray on a cotton pad and wipe fold and wrinkles with it.

How are you cleaning his wrinkles?

Sometimes I use wipes, sometimes peroxide on a cotton ball, etc. I change up according to how much discoloration there is.

Then dry well, and put zinc oxide in the crease.

This and filtered water as has been mentioned.

Hope this helps. It's an ongoing problem for our guys.
