Duffy is 10 years old in otherwise good health but he has a 3/4 golf ball sized cyste on his neck. If we touch it a lot he shakes and he shakes a few times a day. Had it previously drained by Vet and it did little to reduce the size. Interestingly Duffy had a cyst removed in that same area as a puppy. The Vet said his lungs and heart were healthy. But from my perspective unless he has this become more of an annoyance I think the risk of surgery is too great.
Has anyone had problems with Cysts???
would i do the surgery.....
well if it isnt a bother...i would leave it...but some times they grow so hugh you have to remove it...but then again i have seen them removed and grow back even larger.....
i would discuss how they would remove it.....are they going to do a local...or are they putting him under...and for how long...a surgery like this should be under 30 mins......
your questions a tough one.....if it was wilson with all his medical problems no i would not do...if charlie who has had at least 6 surgies with flying colors yes i would remove it....
Agree with Judy...
it really depends on the health of your dog.
