wobbled then fell over

Cooper vomited, fell in it then wobbled away. I thought he may have had a seizure. When we rescued him his vet records indicated he had possibly had a seizure. Same symptoms. Wobbly, falling over, vomiting.....Anyway, took him to a bulldog vet this morning. After taking a few chest xrays they told me he probably fainted from lack of oxygen. He has a bit of a upper resp. infection. Either a new one or left over from june (before we got him). Vet also said his tonsils are large and soft palate is inflamed. Here is what I dont get.....No coughing...No heavy breathing/snoring. The one thing I do notice is that he has very thick phelm. It stays floating in his water bowl. So he put Cooper on 150mg of Doxy 2x aday. That seems way high. Also an antinflamatory and a cough/congestion pill. Seems a bit much. How am I going to get him to take all those pills....Yikes......

We just started feeding raw 1 week ago. He has lost 3 pounds. How can I get him to put some weight on without giving more meat. He is getting a pound a day. Can I add cooked rice or oats to raw?? I have read it digests at different rates....Maybe I should feed 3x a day......

you can

to put on weight when feeding raw  increase the amount your feeding...add chicken skin... or add a teaspoon of bacon greae evey three days...i would just increase the amount feeding.... my bulls at 53 lbs get 2 lbs a day....to keep them at a steady weight...during the winter i increase a little....add a touch of pure honey will help with the sore throat....the  meds are to hit a bug hard so get them in him.. lingering infections are tough to get rid of.....
