We are currently using Blue Buffalo food for our dogs (St Bernard and Bulldog) but Gemma, our bulldog, has been having diarrhea and I'm wondering if its due to the food? Is Blue Buffalo not good for bullies? If not, which food should I buy them? Thanks for your help.
I feed Blue Buffalo Limited Ingredient very successfully.
In fact, I have been trying for almost a year to find a food that Sophie could eat with out tear stains and itchies. Blue Buffalo has done wonders for her. But I feed limited ingredient to her...I believe it is called Simply Basic? It is Salmon and potato...
It can take up to 8 weeks to see an good improvement on a new food. If you're feeding regular Blue Buffalo and your pup is having issues, try the limited ingredient one and add one tablespoon of plain, fat free yogurt in each meal (I feed 2x a day and add yogurt each time). That will help regulate the digestive system some and may alleviate some of the diarrhea. To calm it down right away, do a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice for a few days. Then slowly start adding the new kibble. I would not go back to the old stuff once the pups tummy settles down, it will just get irritated again.

We are trying to feed her a
We are trying to feed her a bland diet- rice and chicken but she's such a princess ;-) she refuses to eat the rice. We feed Gems Blue Buffalo Salmon and potato like you but I was thinking we'd ask the vet about TOTW see if we should switch her when she's feeling better.
If she is hacking and having diarrhea
like you said in the earlier post she is showing signs of an illness like Kathy said. You should take her to her vet to be treated.
Skasqueeeeeeakaaay!!
