Hi,
I am sure this question has been answered before by many, and has had numorous answers to it, but I am a new Bulldog owner(infact we don't pick him up till February 5th) and I just want to make sure I am giving my boy the right food he needs. I live in Ontario so some of the brands I have seen listed I don't believe I have seen in the stores before. So my question is, what is a good food (name brand) that I can feed my bully? and are there certain name brands that I should definitely avoid using? My breeder told me that she feeds her bullies TLC brand, but I havent found that around in any stores in my area. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

We have 2 bulldogs one we got
We have 2 bulldogs one we got when he was 6 months and one we rescued at 4 years. They are both on Natural Balance Fish and Sweet Potato. We had some skin issues and it seems to help with that. Our experience is that bulldogs have very sensitive skin and tummy's so it's good to do your homework, but every dog is different and reacts differently to different foods. One thing I do remember when our's was a puppy is that we had to give her a biscuit every night before going to bed or she would be sick in the morning....just an FYI that we learned the hard way by cleaning up puke every morning. This has something to do with those sensitive tummy's when they are little. Good luck and enjoy your new addition! You will love having a bulldog...they are such special breeds!!!
What will your breeder be
What will your breeder be feeding him before he comes home? You may want to stick to that food if it's been working for the breeder. Our Bully is on the Acana Lamb and Apples....made in Canada. You can google them and check out their website.
If you have Natural Balance or Taste of the Wild,
Those are good feeds. You can put your puppy right onto adult food, puppy food isn't necessary. If you have Royal Canin, they have a decent Bulldogs 24 food that I started my girl on. She did fine for 2 years on it until she developed some allergies, then I switched her to grain free. I feed Blue Buffalo Basics, Limited Ingredients. That is a good brand as well.

Thanks for the info, have you
Thanks for the info, have you heard anything good with or have you tried, Natures recipe grain free salmon and sweet potato & pumpkin recipe?? Or do you know of a grain free that is a little less expensive than royal canon or blue buffalo? Thanks in advance for the info!!
ERNIE
I have heard of good results with Natures Recipe.
Just stick to a grain free product....most of them are from pretty good food companies. The lesser food companies don't really do the limited ingredient diets, so you should be safe:-). Blue Buffalo is a little more expensive, but my girl only eats a little under a cup of food 2 times a day. It takes a long time to go through a big bag with that little bit of food going out daily!
