I fed it for a while and had no tear stains and no itchies with Sophie, but she pooped more often. My big dogs didn't do as well on it though, and I like to keep everyone on the same food if possible, so I switched to Taste Of The Wild which is grain free. Natural Balance is also a very good grain free and I believe Wellness makes a grain free, but am not positive on the last. I stay right around 25% protein, but some will go higher. I Just don't like giving a lot of protein to a couch potato:-)
I like the ingredients in Blue, but like I said, it produced a lot more poop in all three of my girls, which to me seems like they aren't absorbing as much of the food as they should be.
Blue Buffalo Basics is a good grain free.

It's a good food
Did your vet do an allergy panel? That can help guide your choices. If you go to www.dogfoodproject.com there's a whole section on grain free foods.
