Tightrope technique Cruciate ligament surgery

Wondering if anyone has had surgery using this technique--what the results were and where the surgery was performed.
Thanks.

Yes ... I always called it

the "Old Method" because it's been around long before TPLO.  Both of the surgeries I have had done on 2 different dogs was this method.  It worked well for us.

Thanks

Glad to know you had good results.  The tightrope is a newer version of the old conventional surgery -- uses a newer material and usually costs about $1,000 less than the TPLO or TTA.  I've spent a lot of time searching for surgeons who do this.  Where are you located?  I'm in Middletown, NY.

"Extra Capsular"?

This morning I talked to a vet who has been doing a method called what sounds like  extracapsular -- I should have asked how to spell.  He does do TTA as well, but has been doing this older method for 20 years and thinks it may be appropriate for my girl.  We see him in two weeks for consult, xrays and surgery.  Since he's been doing this so long, perhaps it's the same method you've had done.
