thanks to everyone who responded to my claritin/zyrtec post below!

I just stopped at Rite Aid and they have a special buy one box 40 ct and get the second free! So I got 80 pills for $18.00 - good deal! I'll keep you posted on if it helps him. Thx again bulldoggers! :)

why? Really I am just curious? Chum started single dose Claritin generic Friday and I just got of the phone with his vet 10 minutes ago seriously! asking if I could up him to the double dose and if I do one in the am and one in pm or two at a time and she said two at a time. His eyes started watering again even when he was sleeping and it was on the side that was facing up. We switched him to Claritin because benedryl was making him too sleepy.

i did ask why
the vet said zyrtec has the stuff in it thet helps itchiness where claritin does not. The vet said he has his dogs on zyrtec, which I thought was interesting. Then at Rite Aid I was talking to the pharmcist and she said her 9 yo Husky is on it for allergies. They both said generic was fine and to give 10 mgs 2 x day. I just gave him first dose and we'll do another at 7 tomorrow am. Its his nose thats been running like crazy. His eyes haven't started yet. Poor babies.

You know when you get home and they do their butt wiggles and then grab their favorite toy? Well Chumlee grabs his toy and does his zoomies and bites his toy really really hard and it goes Skasqueeeeeeakaaay!!!!! for the next 20 minutes, he has been doing this since he was little. We can now yell "Skasqueeeeeeakaaay" and he will come running :}
PS Look for the Gator at Target its the best Skasqueeeeeeakaaay you will find!! PetSmart claims they have it in stores but ours ran out last Summer when we bought the last one BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!

it! Well I gave him his first pill last night, his nose was running like mad. Within 2 hours his nose/face was dry. I have hope this is going to help!!!
