What do you guys do exactly? leave the mixture of the vinegar and water in the tail pocket? Or just leave it for a little bit and dry well? Thanks for the tips.

May be wrong on that one though! I don't use that method...but have used it as a finish after a bath. I let her soak in it for about 5 minutes then rinse well and dry carefully. Tail pockets would probably be the same.
Get it in there however you can. If it's tight you can use a medicine syringe to flush out the gunk. I usually do this while giving a shower. You dont want to rinse it, but make sure its dried well after with a papertowel. They seem to soak up more. I also use it in the nose fold. Make sure its a 50/50 mixture. It works wonders for us.

What does it do for you? Get rid of the stinky smell and keep it dried out? How many times per week do you do it? And do you still dry the tail out every day? Or leave it be for a few days and it's fine??

We use ACV for many things. I put a bit in her food and I also use it in the bath as a rinse and to clean her tail pocket.
I am not sure how effective it is for the tail pocket, but I find that it is good in several ways: one, when ACV dries it tends to take any smell away with it which is why it is good for household cleaning as well. second, vinegar is acetic acid. acetic acid is one of the primary ingredients in malacetic wipes, which if you notice smell a little like cider vinegar. three, it is much cheaper than malacetic products and you can make your own doggy cleaning solution with buffered contact lense saline solution and ACV for much less money.
It is reported to help with yeast issues, soothes skin, and is an excellent nontoxic cleaner. We use the 'raw' variety that is found at the natural foods market. I find that it is excellent for cleaning the face. Now if I could just find a way to reduce the goop in the first place!
Leave it in for about 5 minutes and then rinse well I think...

Re: Apple Cider Vinegar rinse....
I always thought the use of apple cider vinegar for coat and skin was as a final rinse that is not rinsed off?
ACV
Interesting info...I would not have thought to leave it on:-)
But I am going to if I use it as a body rinse and see how that does:-)
