Tail Cleaning

Roxie doesnt have a corkscrew or a inverted tail, its kinda just like a nub. I can easily get under her tail to clean it out. But mostly its her fur that gets caught under there. The vet has some sort of comb he uses to get under there and clean it out. I dont even know how to explain what he was using, kinda like a hooked comb.
Do any of you guys know what thats called? I love to pick one up instead of the old rubber glove and pinch inder the tail to get the hair out.
