Stomach Issues

Molly had an upset stomach this weekend. I tried some home remedies like pumpkin but it didn't clear up on its own. My poor pup had several accidents in the house Monday morning and I found her hiding in her crate because she knew she made a mistake! Anyway, the vet gave her metronidazole to help. At first it stopped her from going at all, but now on day 3 her poop is still pretty loose. Anyone have experience with this medicine and know how long it takes for her to get back to normal? Oh she's also on a bland diet and all tests came back negative. Thanks!

Metronadazole is also called flagyl and...
it's kind of an antibiotic for the intestinal tract. It usually helps clear up diarhea in a few days. The bland diet should also help and keep putting the pumpkin on it. When my guys are loose I sometimes use Immodium along with the flagyl to help firm them up if it's really runny.

is like a miracle drug (atleast has been for us in the past) She should be firming up very soon.

Thanks! The vet put her on that gross (in my opinion) prescription i/d wet food, so I think that is also contributing to the not so solid poop. She's also not drinking as much water, but again I'm hopping it is because there is a lot in the food.
