Speaking of then and now-Audrey used to be FAT!
Submitted by CathyandAudrey on November 18, 2011 - 12:21pmI was just looking through old pictures and I can NOT believe how overweight she used to be! I remember the ER vet told us she was grossly overweight, and we thought she was exagerating, but looking back at pictures WOW was she right!

and she always looks thinner in pics than she does in a movie or in real life-don't know why.... so yeah she really was too heavy

how did you do it?
my vet said gracie was overweight and she is only 9 months old. How did you do it?
Raw diet
She was having so many issues with processed dog food, we switched her to a raw diet.
It was a dramatic improvement! No more vomiting, itching, face smelling like Smart Food cheddar popcorn, and no more ear infections.
We just watched her waistline carfeully until she was at the weight that looked good on her, then fed her just enough to keep her there. For her that means she gets about 2% of her body weight each day, broken up into 2 meals. She weighs leass now at 3 years old then she did when she was 6 months old. (that was when the ER vet said she was WAAYY overweight)
She moves much better now-she's fast and very energetic. I keep her on the slender side also to reduce joint and knee stress.
If it works, here is a video of her playing soccer. We really noticed a difference in how she plays when she's not so heavy.
