Sore spot!
Submitted by newtoenglishbulldogs on November 8, 2010 - 7:45amHi everyone...I posted a collar question last week and of course, thanks to me, my poor Gemma has a sore spot from her collar rubbing on her neck the wrong way. What can I put on this to clear it up? It is about the size of a nickel, she doesn't seem to be bothered by it but it doesn't look too good :(

I would just apply Gold Bond to the area after it's been cleaned and dried.
Sorry...you mean the gold bond powder, correct?
Also, she seems to have a lot of dampness under her eyes. What is the best thing to keep that area dry? Thanks!
Yes...
you should try to determine whether the dampness under the eyes is due to irritation or allergy or eyelashes. You could give antibiotic eye ointment or Genteal or refresh ointment or drops to see if that soothes them, and/or try a benedryl, but, if not, you'll need to take her to vet to find out what's causing it. I need to take her to the vet for a check up so maybe I will ask about it. She doesn't seem bothered by it but they are damp a lot of the time..which is also causing a tear stain. Thanks!
