Yesterday at the vet, she piddled on the floor. Not a submissive piddle, but a real one. I really thought it was a stress thing, but I came home at noon and she'd done the same thing in her bed. She NEVER does this. She's very houseborken and hasn't gone inside since she was a pup. She's eating and drinking normally. I have a call into the vet, but am looking to you folks for ideas about what this could be.
Thanks!
Hummm!
Maybe a UTI. I would call the vet and see what he says.

Thanks!
He wants a urine sample. That will be a challange, but I'll get one. He put her on Cephalexin (antibiotic) yesterday for her paw. I'm hoping she's OK. She's always been pretty healthy but she's getting older. Poor bullie.
Thanks!

It sounds much like a UTI.
Do you have any antibiotics in the house? If not, call your vet. If so, what do you have on hand.
Also, when Sophie or Kora get a UTI, I combat it right away with double doses of cranberry and vit c pills. You can buy them at any Wal-Mart or drug store...should be about 1500 mg cranberry and 500 mg vit c. I give two caplets 3 times a day to knock out the infection. Last time Sophie had one, it was gone in a couple days with this method. Don't freak about the amount...when I get a UTI coming on, I drink tons of real cranberry juice...lots and lots of it. It always clears up the infection without any adverse effect on me:-)

Swimming?
I have a Jack Russell that loves to swim... he urinates like this when he drinks too much pool water... probably not the case here; but when it first happened I thought he had UTI as well... just a thought.
No swimming
When she goes wading, it's in the local park's lake or the Mississippi River in the dog park, but she hasn't been there since the weather got warm. Thanks for the info, though.
