Should I switch to a senior diet ?

my bully is turning the big "10" .....should I switch to a senior diet?  She's gained a lot of weight and has slowed down in her old age.   Thanks in advance

Gaining weight and slowing down

you didnt say how much weight, but any additional weight as they go up in years isnt good (in my opinion) as their joints are older etc - I'm not sure how to get the extra weight off, other than less calories (less food) will a senior Diet do it? I'm not familar with them :/   sorry

Check the ingredients in the senior foods...

most just have a lot of added low cal fillers that aren't nutritional or healthy.  What you can do is try substituting cooked green beans for 1/4 or 1/2 cup of food, that will be filling and less calories.  We also use a salmon/sweet potato grain free food that is lower in calories than a meat based food.
