Hello,
Not sure if anyone has had anything similar... My bulldog is 11 months old and will be a year old on 27th May. At the end of Dec/start of Jan I noticed she had a few bald patches coming along but I thought it may have been that it was her winter coat shedding, I took her to the vets mid March and got her some shampoo that is layered in, left in for 10 mins so it skinks into the skin then is washed out. During the start of March she had a slight seizure well i think it was one) she was on the sofa and started jerking so I put her outside, she was walking and fell on the floor and started foaming and bringing up bile. It only lasted under a minute and after that she was perfectly fine so we didn't take her to the vets although I have been to them vets to book in her cherry eye operation and I mentioned it to them. She had another seizure on Saturday morning but it only lasted 5-10 seconds and was fine again after. She is having a cherry eye operation tomorrow so I am going to mention this to the vets then but I have been looking online to try and see if the skin injection and seuzures are linked and the only thing that is really coming up is diabetes. Has anyone had anything silimar and what has their medical outcome been?
Thank you.
Harleigh
I suspect it has more to do with...
The shampoo that was absorbing into the skin. Without a skin scraping, it is anybodys guess what skin issue your puppy has, but it could well be mites, lice, fleas, etc. You could have some allergies to the feed going on. I would do a couple of things...find a bulldog knowledgeable vet, talk to them. Put the pup on a good grain free food. Stop the shampoo.
Hope some of this helps!
