Scratching eyes ???

I have a 3 year old male bulldog. He scratches his eyes with his front paws. The inside of his eyes are red and he wants to scratch them all the time. He has been like this for the past year and a half.
So my Question is, dose this sound like allergies or do they always scratch there eyes ? ? Hes on grain free food but there is chicken and turkey in it.

Sounds like allergies to me...
maybe environmental instead of food related? You could try a grain free fish and see if it helps, but he could be allergic to grass, dust or any number of things. Have you given him benedryl? That might help with the itching.

It could be allergies but, I would get a Vet check
Two of my girls have dry eye and their eyes are red and itch. The last thing you want is for them to scratch the eye and cause an ulcer.
