It takes awhile, I came back from a 3 day Cat Show years ago with 5 persians and ended up bringing that dang stuff home, 3-5 days later it started showing up and we found out there were others from the show that came down with it too. Man was I ticked off! Its not easy to treat when you are dealing with 5 inch long hair...luckily it only hit on 2 of my long hairs, the others were Exotics (short haired persians)
Key is to be persistant, and continue to check him over constantly, inside his mouth too. And of course to a body check on all your family. Vinegar in all the wash, surfaces, etc. I would put vinegar in his water too ....heck it helps for so many other things I bet it would not hurt!
Sorry you have to deal with this, its going to take time and patience.
it is the same ingredient, BUT we did not use it on our persians because we did not want to risk them breathing in the dust. THe ointment you can control, plus the ointment helps 'suffocate' the ring worm--so to speak. when you put it on you want to make sure to cover it entirely, and go outside the borders.
to other pets and humans. Wash all his bedding in hot water at least twice a week. Wash your hands well after touching him. Vacuum often. ringworm spores can be in the carpet. You should google ringworm and see all the things you can do to keep it from reinfecting the household.
That should be enough
It just may take several weeks to treat.
uhg...
If its not spreading, should I assume treatment is effective? Doesnt seem to be improving, but its not getting worse

I noticed that athletes foot powder has the same ingredient...
...any reason not to sprinkle this on him (miconozale)?
