question-- eye problem...STILL

Question about James' ulcer...(been ongoing since June 2)...his eye has become cloudy. Is this a sign of healing or deteriorating? We do have a second opinions lined up after his appmnt today. If its not better I am breakingup with our Vet

That is not a good sign

Our BamBam had an ulcer in his eye. It took forever to heal. Started out with just meds-didn't work. The vet had to "scrape" his eye-can't think of what its called-to stimulate blood flow to the area. It took well over a month to completely heal

Good luck and hugs to the patient.

It's called debrideing, they did that to our girl...

when she had an ulcer.  I would definitely get a second vet to look at it, sounds like they're not doing the right things for her.  It did take Oreo about 6 weeks to completely heal, but she would go in once or twice a week to have it debrided and we had to do drops every day.  The cloudiness cleared up as it healed.

THANK YOU for your posts...

According tot he vet, the wound had shrunk-- didnt appear as big and was not soaking up as much of the dye.  So if it is responding to the meds, I figure I should continue with what he is doing.
