Hi all, I just took Kofi in for a check up with a new vet. She's doing great except:
He found that she had a serious UTI infection. This surprised me since she was showing no signs at all that I could see. I had no idea. He put her on 200 mg Cefpodoxime for two weeks. She had no fever and we would never have known if he hadn't taken a sample of urine.
Just wondering if anyone had experienced a bully having a UTI that wasn't exhibiting any signs.
The other thing is that she weighs 60 lbs. I was shocked to find that also, since I feed her raw, about a pound a day to try to get her weight down from 58 lbs. She doesn't get as much exercise since we moved out here on busy highway, but I'm certainly not overfeeding and was surprised that she had gained.
The vet didn't seem overly concerned as he could see her ribs. I actually thought she was looking more fit......
anyway, I posted some pictures taken this morning and would appreciate any input.
She hates me to get the camera out!
Well, maybe for a cookie.....
Thanks all for any help, and Happy Sunday
I can't resist ! gotta hug that mug ! ! !
She's looking great to me! ! I have no experiences w/ UTI (but never took a sample in either)

OK, trying to respond for the third time...
As for UTI's, Kano showed classic symptoms: small amounts frequently with a trace of blood. Q would just pee LAKES in the house - something he never does unless he has a UTI.
As for her weight, I was always told that if you can see a defined waist when looking down at the dog from above, you're good to go. Missy Kofi has a beautiful waist! :)
