Hi. My bulldog puppy has been coughing, hacking and sneezing just in the AMs during the past couple days. It happens right after he wakes up then he's fine during the day. My boyfriend and I think it's seasonal allergies--what can we do to help the poor guy feel less stuffed up? Do we need a dehumidifier?
He does a fair amount of scratching and biting his paws in the am as well. And his eyes are very gooey.
I read the other posts about food and do not think it's his food just because it's only a morning thing.
Any advice or similar situations would help! Thank you
JMF
Could it be his bedding?
If you use Tide or Downy in your laundry, that could be the culprit. Or maybe carpet shampoo or similar? Fleas? If it is only in the morning, it might be a contact allergy from what he in laying on, in, or around at night.
Good luck:-)

Cedar in pet bedding -
One 'additive' that is overlooked, is Cedar Chips in Pet Beds. I'm not sure if that is what your pup *MIGHT* Be alergic too, but I know I am personally allergic to Cedar (Found out about it after a few pet beds, came into the house, and out they went) (and to think we also put up cedar in our basement cause we 'liked the smell' My poor wife had to go downstairs and clear coat it all so that I can go down there at all)
