Prominent backbone in aging English Bulldogs?

My 10 yo English Bulldog, Emily, has developed a very prominent backbone over the past couple of years. She has no other health issues--eats well, sleeps well, walks daily, plays periodically, snores like a pig. Is this a common physical change in English bulldogs?

Backbone...

My seniors do not have this, and I haven't seen it, but since all is well in every other way, I wouldn't be too concerned and would just mention to the vet at next scheduled visit.

I have not had either of my seniors with backbones showing, even with weight loss.  Have you had a senior blood panel done?  As long as she seems healthy i wouldn't worry to much about the backbone, but i would have a blood panel done just to make sure everything looks ok and she isn't lacking in nutrition.
