Problem with the boo boo
Submitted by IndyBulldog™ on August 2, 2012 - 4:22pmBrother has a problem with his butt. He needs to be washed every day under there as his tail partially covers his anus. I can handle that. The best way is in the shower or hose, using skin so soft oil and which hazel......but, he seems to leak in the night, he is clean at bed time and dirty in the morning in his cage....it's brown and is stool. His stool seems OK out in the yard, and around 3 to 4 inches and medium sized. Sometime just a small ball as he goes more than once a day, and eats raw......On his tail in the morning it's wet and pasty......

That sounds very much like a possible anal gland infection
If he is oozing, it isn't getting expressed properly when he goes to the bathroom. I would express his glands or have your vet/groomer do it for you. Probably a vet, they can check for infection.

He's asleep now, all cleaned up, so tomorrow after work she and I will look and also call the vet. He's settled not itchy, so I'm gonna let this sleeping dog lie.....
We do thank you as I told Dottie, we always get good help here for our dogs.
