I noticed yesterday when I was getting Stig out of the car after his pre-neuter exam that where he had been sitting, there were some little yellowish-green spots on the seat. I thought he might have had some left wetness from where he went pee before we got back in the car. I wanted to be sure, though, so when I got him inside, I checked him out, and his little male part had some yellow-ish green stuff on the hairs around it and there was some on the inside of his hind leg as well. I got a tissue and wiped it off and it looked too thick to be urine, although it wasn't terribly thick and there wasn't a lot. There also was nothing else that indicated an infection, which would have been my guess. No swelling, redness, heat, etc. I noticed that while he was using the bathroom the other day, his penis came out for the first time that I have ever seen, so I don't know if this is normal at this point in "puppy puberty" or if it has anything to do with it. I would imagine if it were there when he saw the vet and it was something to worry about, the vet would have mentioned it, but I guess there is a chance he didn't see it or it wasn't there then. Any one experience this? I googled it, and it seems that this is supposedly normal as long as there is no abnormal smell and he's not licking it continuously, but I trust all of you to know more than random websites.
It'll go away...
After he's neutered. Q used to do that all the time (before he was snipped). I had to pull back the foreskin and wipe his hooter down on a regular basis before he was neutered.
Ah... the things we do for our bullies... lol
BTW - green color may indicate the presence of an infection. Did the vet check a urine sample? Q used to get prostatitis which lead to a UTI on a fairly regular basis - that's the reason I had him neutered.

Thank you!
Thanks for verifying this. The vet checked him pretty thoroughly and didn't mention this, although he did mention that Stig had a little fungal infection in his ears, so I think he must not of seen it or it must not have looked abnormal to him. I may call the office tomorrow and just ask them about it. His appointment to be neutered is Monday, so hopefully it won't be an issue after then.
nothing to worry about
It's called "smegma" and it's normal. It can look a little greenish. No worries. It goes away after neuter. My Junior had an excessive amount of that discharge. Not all unaltered males have it, but some do. It was the main reason I neutered Junior.
