Hello all -
I thought it would be helpful to share some information I learned about online prescription fulfillment for your K-9 family member.
I found out a few months that I could have Dallas prescription fulfilled online (yea yea I'm late LOL don't shoot me). Anyway I wanted to know which sites were safe to order from, and curious to know why some are significantly cheaper than others. After finding my way to http://www.nabp.net/programs/accreditation/vet-vipps/ I now feel a bit more comfortable about having my boy's meds fullfilled online. Here's a list of Vet-VIPP online pharmacys http://www.nabp.net/programs/accreditation/vet-vipps/find-a-vet-vipps-online-pharmacy/. Hope this was helpful to someone.
You can also
sometimes get their scripts filled at a human pharmacy like CVS/Wal-Mart etc., Depending on the med. ;) I don't really trust online meds. Just me.....
Thanks!
didn't know that
prescriptions
We have used www.kvvet.com for years for certain things like ketoconazole and proin and animax and even switched down to Iverhart plus for heartworm prevention for extra savings. Others we've had to get elsewhere--Walmart for eye drops w/cortisone only $4, and fluocinonide .5% cream 60 gm. for $8 -- this is less than half the cost of buying at the vet. Certain antibiotics like cephalexin and doxycycline are free at my supermarket pharmacy with the vets prescription. I do keep some fish antibiotics (exactly the same ingredient as from pharmacy) on hand--saves an occasional vet visit. But I always confer with the vet on the situation and dosage.
agree just go to walmart
dont trust on line prescriptions their not safe..its about the only thing i agree with my vet on....some of these drugs are from china...or outdated....my antibotics are 30% less at walmarts/.....use caution
