Gage is going in tomorrow for a double cherry eye removal (we've decided to have them snipped) and his neutering. Is there anything in particular we should know for his post op care? We have his cone and we have moved his kennel to the den so he doesn't have to attempt going up the stairs to the bedroom. Any other expert advice is always appreciated...especially since his momma is a nervous wreck!

Good thoughts for Gage!
I don't have any experience with cherry eye, but after Q's neutering, I remember being shocked at how his scrotal sac looked! lol He accumulated some blood in the sac and it took a while for it to go down in size (and get rid of the dark purple color!).
Activity restriction was the hardest thing to maintain. Q didn't think it was necessary...
I set up a humidifier (not the hot kind) near where he slept to help soothe his throat. Q had a palate resection done with his neutering, but your boy will have had a breathing tube placed, and a cool humidifier will help his (normal post op) sore throat. Speaking of breathing tubes, find out what size they placed for future reference. It will give you an idea of the size of his trachea.
I had to use a harness on Q for 10-14 days post-op because of the palate. I don't know if you may have to do the same post cherry-eye? I'm sure your vet will go over all the post op instructions with you. :)
