Moose is 4 months old and about once a day when he goes poop there just a little left sticking out of his butt. I wipe his butt with wipes but was wondering if this is something that will go away as he gets older? The bad part of the whole thing is sometimes if you don't look closely you can miss it sticking out & my family isn't too excited about wiping his butt or even looking at it..LOL Also, there is no smell so I don't think it is his anal glands filling up. Thanks for your help!
Our one boy is three and...
he always has a little nugget left after he goes. We wipe him off every time.
yes, a little gift for you :-)
I've noticed it depends on the food, some times there is a little gift left to wipe, and some times not. I dont switch food too often, but i've noticed if the stool is just a wee bit soft, there is little nugget left over. funny story about how attentive we are with rex- we were at the vet and she asked us about his poop and my husband and i bickered for about 2 minutes about the consistency of his poop, the color, how often,,,, the vet looked at us like we were absolutely NUTS!!! Rex is 8, and on average he poops 1 1/2 times a day, 365 days a year so that is 4,380 poops i've watched!!!!!! (not taking into consideration leap years) BAWHAHAAHAHAA

LOL! What a great story about vets and poop!!!
I bet they think Bully owners in particular are just a little, well, particular!!!
But you are right. Consistency is everything when you are talking about a nugget, or no nuggets! Sophia leaves one if she has even slightly less than hard stools. I have to keep her on a food that produces harder stools or she has drippy poo hanging on for dear life afterwards. Yucky.
