Please help.....

On Thursday we noticed that Spike was a little lazier than normal, that night he looked like he detioriated a little ( not wanting to eat and weak) so we took him to the ER vet. He thought it was his gums and lymph nodes under his neck and gave us an antibiotic (clindamycin) and a pain med (dermaxx). We gave the meds and the next day (yesterday) he slept alot. He still didnt want to eat so I was blending his food and syringe feeding it to him along with water. Last night he got alot worse and was unable to even pick up his head. We rushed him back to the er vet. He was totally out of it. Completely limp and eyes barely open. He didnt even move when they stuck him 3 times. All of his labs were normal, EKG was slightly irregular ( some sinus arrythemias??) HR was 70's -80's, good blood pressure, good cap refill. within a few hours he perked up and ws walking. He was still wobbley and unbalanced. We opted out of leaving him for monitoring and woke him every hour as directed and took him back in this am.

The vet this am at the hospital referred us to another specialist hospital. So, we left and took him there. The barely looked at him and said either brain tumor, or something neurological. THey said either leave him or bring him back early monday for furthur testing by the internal medicine md.

Currently he does not want to eat or drink ( I am feeding him & giving liquids via a syringe)

unsteady walking

very lethargic

paces the room when awake.

Any advice is greatly appreciated,

Ashley

Question

How old is Spike ?  Also were his lympnodes in his neck enlarged ?  If so, did the aspirate them and send the fluid off to be tested ?  Hope he is doing better...
