I actually don't use any tick medicine for Winston. He had a bad reaction to it last summer and I don't really live in an area where ticks are a huge "threat." If you scroll through the forum (or just do the search on the main page) there have been a lot of discussions about the pros and cons of the different brands of medicine and different holistic approaches. until I just started using the heartworm/flea prevention from my vet's office. The boys did fine on it, and had no reaction whatsoever to it. It is cheaper than Frontline and it does have the exact same stuff in it. I say go for it, if you're considering it.
