Paw Licking
Submitted by Sams74 on March 17, 2012 - 12:19pmHi- Molly started licking one paw last night and has continued to do it today too. It is the bottom of her paw on the pads. I searched the area for anything that would be bothering her, but I can't find anything unusual. It is pretty pink now from all the licking and I noticed a small yellow-ish spot but I can't say that it wasn't there before (never throuroughly inspected bottoms of her paws). I gave her a Benadryl to see if it is allergy related, but I dont think it is since it is only one paw. Any thoughts or ideas of something to put on it? I already tried just wiping with a warm wash cloth....thanks.

my archie had started the paw licking and was attributed to an allergy-that's what his vet said...
when you wash paws dry them well esp in b/tween...i would wash w/water and
small amount of peroxide...then dab a bit of polysporin...
