Hi, new to this forum but not to bulldogs. Lola is 5 and had a cherry eye removed 4 years ago. Her eye has become dry over the years and now she produces no tears at all. Shes had 2 opthamologists and she is on tacrolimous 2x day and genteal severe also. The eye is always getting infected so she usually gets simiplex antibotics start of every month and oxyflacin eye drops when any green gunk or squinting starts. I am so tired of this cycle. The doctor does the parotid duct transpostion but never did it on a bulldog. She says large dogs respond very well, not very good with small dogs. Lola is a medium 50 lb. Has anyone done the surgery within the last few years? What luck did you have or not have? Its a pretty affordable surgery at $1500 so that is not the issue.
