Our sweet Georgia girl crossed the rainbow bridge

Has anyone ever heard of a bulldog getting cancer due to not being spayed properly. We are so devasted. The ER vet found during exploratory surgery a huge mass (cancer) on her uterine stump.  It wasn't tied off properly causing cancer to develop/  We trusted our vet. Now after only 5 year of having our precious girl, she is gone. All because our vet was negligent.  I don't know what to do.  We are grieving so very bad, as she brought so much joy to our life.  I am sad, mad and just plain sick and we have this empty feeling inside without her.  I can't sleep or eat.  Has anyone ever heard of something like this, or can share on how to get over this sad sinking feeling?  You guys always give great advice....

I'm so sorry...

It takes time, it doesn't get better, but it does get less painful.  I've never heard of this, I'm not sure I would totally believe the ER vet, maybe you should talk to your vet and see what he has to say about it.  We've lost several babies to cancer and it's always devastating.

My sincere condolences

I am so sorry for your loss. Know that your girl is at peace with all the other wonderful bullies over the rainbow bridge.

i am so sorry, heaven needed another bully angel...

i am so sorry for your loss... i know the pain of losing your baby so suddenly. i lost my beloved momo german sheperd to bloat all of the sudden and i thought the pain and emptiness would never go away. i know it may be kinda soon but i went to the spca just to play with some dogs about a week after the loss, not planning to get anybody, i surely didnt think i was ready yet, but my husband thought us playing with some dogs would brighten our day.. and sure enough, we met our two new babies there! it was totally meant to be...unfortunately these new dogs old mommy died and they needed a new home, and these new ladies really saved us. its like they were sent to me from my old beloved momo to take care of us!

just think someone is waiting for you, and the sooner you are ready, the sooner both of you will be better off. there is no way georgia could ever be replaced of course, but it helps to dull the pain and replace it with something different
