Otis throws up ONLY at night

Our puppy Otis (10 weeks) has been throwing up each night for the past three nights. He also threw up a couple times, again only at night, when we first got him about two weeks ago. Usually it is very little that he throws up and sometimes he actually makes the hacking noise like he is about to throw up, but nothing really comes up. Sometimes it's a tiny bit of partially digested food, and sometimes it just looks like a little saliva. We are not too worried because he is still very active, playful, eating and drinking well, and peeing and pooping like normal. It's occurs at about 2am and again around 5 or 6am, and then he acts fine the rest of the day.

We keep him in a crate at night with no food or toys, and he always sleeps pretty well.

We feed him a raw meat diet recommended by our breeder, which consists of raw meat, vegetables, and carbs. His last meal of the day is usually at 6pm.

Anyone else ever experience this or may know what the problem is???

He has a vet appointment in four days, so we will definitely ask about it when we go.

Here's a pic of our sweet boy:

What does your breeder say?

n/m

Carbs?

What do you give for carbs?  Give him a little bit or a biscuit after his last time out for the night.  Maybe he's doing this because his tummy's empty.  He's a little guy and going from 6 p.m. to morning without eating is too long, I think.

Agreed...

Rugby used to do that when he was little because he was hungry. How many times a day are you feeding him? Otis is adorable BTW!

Yep- I think he was hungry!

After I posted this, I did a little research and came to a similar conclusion. We pushed his dinnertime back about two hours and it solved the problem! He has gone the past two nights without throwing up...YAY!!!
